Jollyes - The Pet Superstore Enfield

This is a large no frills pet shop. They sell birds and small animals which are kept in clean enclosures. They do a large range of dog food, treats and toys. The cat area is significantly smaller but has a decent range of food, the bird area is smaller again. The small animal area is tiny with a very limited amount of cages and toys, if you are going to buy a hamster or similar then I’d suggest that you buy a cage etc elsewhere (please keep in mind that most pet shops sell cages for small animals that are far too small for the animals they are selling them for.). The pricing varies, they do have a decent amount of specials but some of their prices are expensive. Dogs are welcome and they have scales. There’s also a machine that engraves tags.

I visit a local garden centre nearby on a regular basis. So I thought I'd pop in, to purchase some bird food and pet products. There shop has a great selection of animal products! I especially liked that you could buy products loose, also in bulk. My extreme dislike was the fact that I witnessed a customer with 3 very young children, decide whether to buy a mouse for each child or a guinea pig. How irresponsible! Not just of the parent, but of this shop to let her purchase a pet like that! I have adopted guinea pigs throughout my life, because of parents that buy them on a whim. And because shops sell pets to parents that have no knowledge. Most children loose interest within a week or so. And then the parent can't be bothered to look after them. It drives me mad!
